Our Projects
Best Western Plus Dover Marina Hotel
The Project
This elegant four-star seafront hotel combines authentic Victorian architecture with modern comfort and style. Otel Furnish was commissioned in two phases to deliver bespoke furniture and joinery for the hotel’s guest bedrooms, two bars, lobby, and spa areas, enhancing both the functionality and visual identity of the property. The first phase involved the refurbishment of 81 bedrooms, providing two distinct furniture packages for standard and superior rooms. The project included bespoke beds, headboards, wardrobes, desks, bedside units, and carpets — with custom-sized pieces designed to fit the hotel’s unique historic architecture. The second phase, developed in collaboration with an established interior designer, focused on the public areas — including the main bar, lounge bar, lobby, and spa — where we produced all joinery units, bar fronts, and furniture supply, ensuring consistency in craftsmanship and finish throughout.Together, the two phases of refurbishment created a unified design language across the property — blending coastal charm, craftsmanship, and modern hospitality. Following the successful completion of both projects, the hotel rebranded from Best Western Plus to the Hilton Tapestry Collection, reflecting its elevated interior quality and renewed guest experience.
The Design
The overall design direction took inspiration from the hotel’s seafront location, combining contemporary coastal elegance with classic Victorian detailing. In the bedrooms, light oak and grey veneer finishes were paired with deep navy headboards, brass accents, and textured upholstery to create a calm, maritime-inspired feel. Each room was tailored to its unique dimensions, with integrated storage and built-in features to maximise space and function. For the bars and lobby, the aesthetic evolved into a richer, more sophisticated palette — featuring marble-effect surfaces, brass detailing, upholstered velvet seating, and ambient lighting to evoke a sense of timeless refinement. The bespoke joinery, including the striking bar fronts and illuminated bottle displays, became key focal points that enhanced the sense of luxury and craftsmanship.
